Grant Funds Help Program Continue to Expand

Saint Paul’s Outreach is happy to announce its acceptance of yet another grant, awarded by The Marian Foundation, Inc. to cover costs related to programs and events for SPO students. This $2,500 grantwas provided by the Marian Foundation to aid in funding such essential outreach events as Men’s and Women’s Nights, the annual SPO Hog Roast and the recent Man War’s and Women’s Getaway weekends. These events, along with additional SPO events like the Pumpkin Carving Contest, Super Bowl Watch Party and movie and bowling nights, provide a time for building meaningful, Christ-centered relationships for college students in a faith-filled environment.

This grant adds to the funds SPO Ohio received in March 2012 to cover costs associated with their annual Fan into Flame retreat. The Donald D. Lynch Foundation provided $4,800 to cover over half of the food and lodging costs for the retreat, which close to 120 students attended.

SPO continues to expand its funding sources by becoming part of the Columbus Foundation’s PowerPhilathropy program. By joining the ranks of close to 600 non-profits in the central Ohio area, SPO Ohio is now eligible to receive grants from the $96 million+ available through the funds managed by the Columbus Foundation. In addition, SPO Ohio will be included in any future Foundation-wide programs such as the Big Give, a matching gift opportunity the Foundation provided in November 2011.

SPO Ohio thanks The Marian Foundation and The Donald D. Lynch Foundation for their commitment to supporting the future of the Catholic Church. SPO is blessed to steward these funds towards building a faith-filled community with zeal to spread the good news of life with Christ!
