Mission Center: National Headquarters
Brody is from a small town in northwest Ohio called Napoleon. He is the son of Brian and Becky Tejkl and has two siblings, a younger brother Braxton, and an older sister Bailey. Growing up in a Catholic family, Brody was baptized as a baby, and was confirmed in eighth grade as an adult member of the church. Around then, however, he began to fall away from his faith. He was very active in high school, being involved in soccer and various clubs. He was also in National Honor Society, finishing in the top 10% of his class.
Upon graduating high school, Brody received a scholarship to DII Wheeling Jesuit University to continue playing soccer. After being there for a year he transferred to The Ohio State University, where he chose to major in business specializing in human resources. While at Ohio State, Brody came back to his faith after becoming involved with the Newman Center and Saint Paul’s Outreach. After the personal and intentional investment by a member of SPO, Brody decided to live in SPO’s Household program his senior year. With the formation in the Household program Brody came to know the joy of Christ and became more involved in leading small groups and sending others forth to spread the joy.
Brody enjoys being outside, playing sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball, and ultimate Frisbee), watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family.
