Alissa originally hails from Crystal Lake, Illinois. At 18, she left the 'burbs of Chicago and made her way to the great state of Ohio where she began college at Franciscan University of Steubenville. She graduated in 2013 with degrees in Theology and Catechetics (with a concentration in youth ministry.) While studying ministry, the Lord put a call in her heart to serve college-aged young adults at one of the most crucial times of their lives.
Since then, she has been serving the college students at The Ohio State University. Go Bucks! Alissa is passionate about the need for Jesus on college campuses and sees that building communities of disciples on mission is one of the most effective ways for leading men and women to Christ! She served for two years as a Mission Leader at OSU and now serves as a Women's Mission Director. She's blown away by the generosity of the Lord to call her into such a rich and fulfilling life!
Alongside her love for Jesus and the ministry He has called her to, Alissa loves the great outdoors (biking, hiking, camping, fishing, kayaking...) and has an eye for design and DIY projects. She also dreams to own a few chickens and maybe a goat or two someday!
Please pray for her as she serves the students and women's mission leaders at The Ohio State University. All Glory to God!
