Andrew Olsen

Title: Missionary

Chapter: University of Central Florida

Andrew was born and raised in Staten Island, a borough of New York City. He grew up there with his parents and brother and enjoyed hiking on the island and sailing at a local marina. He graduated from Rutgers University in 2019 with a degree in Planning and Public Policy and a minor in Philosophy. And his knighthood will remain as he travels from being a Scarlet Knight at Rutgers to a University of Central Florida Knight as he begins his first year of mission there.

The call to mission began with the question of “How is the Lord seeking to love you in the next chapter of life?” posed by a missionary during Andrew’s time at Rutgers. And through Andrew’s time spent living in the SPO household program, encountering missionaries, and participating in campus retreats it seemed like mission was the answer.

Always ready to share some obscure fun facts about New York City, play the drums or watch a movie with friends, Andrew is excited to bring his own experiences and to gain some new experiences while at UCF (rumor has it he has never been to Disney)!
