Cory Pfanner

Title: Director of Operations

Mission Center: Ohio

Cory grew up in the small town of Sandusky, OH, best known for being home to Cedar Point, the “Roller Coaster Capital of the World”.  Growing up in a Catholic family, he was baptized and attended religious education through second grade, but then fell away from the Church for the next decade.  It wasn’t until Cory's junior year of high school when he was invited to attend a Life Teen youth group that his return journey to the Church began.

After a beloved coach, friend, and father figure passed away unexpectedly in a car accident shortly after high school graduation, Cory found himself asking some of life’s biggest questions as he headed off to start college at Ohio State University.  It was there that he first encountered Saint Paul’s Outreach and began answering some of those questions.  An SPO missionary named Ryan walked with Cory throughout his freshman year and taught him what a personal relationship with Jesus looks like.

Cory completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration in December 2015.  After having been given the opportunity to take on an administrative internship with SPO during his senior year, God began to plant a call in his heart to unite his passion for ministry and his education in business.  He spent his first year on mission working as the Operations Mission Leader at Ohio State, and is excited to be continuing God's work as the Director of Operations for the Ohio Mission Center, impacting the mission at Ohio Dominican University and Ohio State University.
