When asked how he got involved in campus ministry work, Ed likes to reply by saying, “I never got out of it!” As an undergrad at Rutgers University, Ed was invited to Minnesota to attend the first-ever School of the New Evangelization, and there he caught a vision for the impact Saint Paul's Outreach can have and the possibility of bringing the work to New Jersey. After graduating in 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Ed worked for University Christian Outreach at Michigan State University for a year, and then for Christ’s Youth in Action in Manila, Philippines, for a year.
After landing back home in New Jersey, Ed married his beautiful bride, Daria, and worked for three years as a nurse in a Cardio-Thorarcic Intensive Care Unit in Newark, NJ. In May of 2009, Ed left his full-time job to help found Saint Paul's Outreach in New Jersey, and he is now serving as its Senior Mission Director. Ed and Daria have three wonderful children who are always welcome guests at SPO events. Ed’s favorite quotation is from Jim Elliot: “He is no fool, who gives up what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.”
