Chapter: University of Central Florida
Maddie Mae is a born and raised Arizona native. She grew up five minutes from Arizona State University where she later attended college to study Business Data Analytics. She played three years of volleyball while at ASU as an outside hitter and setter on their competitive traveling club team. She enjoys playing many different sports when she is not building furniture out of repurposed materials or working.
Maddie’s biggest life-changing event came early in her college career as a freshman, when she was received into the church through baptism and confirmation at ASU’s Newman Center. She met several of the SPO students at that same time and was able to begin to grow in community with them while discerning what the Lord had for her.
Maddie first received a call to Christian ministry her junior year of college when the ASU’s SPO Chapter decided to start a high school youth group, called Compass. She was asked to come onboard and help pioneer as a member of the women’s staff. She was later asked to join SPO’s Formation program. After learning how to recommit her life to the Lord in prayer, Maddie discerned that the Lord had more for her and was calling her to go all in and apply to live in Household. Senior year of college, Maddie lived as a part of the ASU SPO Women’s house and during her personal prayer about vocation the Lord led her to radical discipleship as a full-time Missionary for SPO.
