Title: Formation Supervisor
Chapter: Texas State University
Teresa is a Minnesota native who loves farmer’s markets, changing seasons, warm blankets, and Jesus Christ. She has served at several SPO chapters: first in Minnesota at the University of Minnesota as a student missionary, then in New Jersey at Seton Hall, and now at Texas State University.
Teresa first encountered SPO at a picnic during welcome week at the University of Minnesota. She was involved in a small group for her first two years of college, but it wasn’t until she lived in Household her junior and senior year that she really dove into the SPO community. Learning to grow in love, hospitality, prayer, and trust in God through SPO has changed her life and she is excited to guide others to love the Lord more deeply.
Teresa graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in English in 2013 and a master’s degree in education in 2015. Teresa was teaching middle school in Minneapolis when she heard the call from the Lord to do mission work full time. Although she loved volunteering with SPO and leading a small group in her free time, she saw the need for campus missionaries and wanted to do mission work full time.
Teresa is married to SPO Chapter Leader Ben Huntley and loves living in Texas with him. They met while living in SPO Household at the University of Minnesota. Teresa loves reading, knitting, photography, biking, camping, and cooking.
