Title: Mission Leader
Mission Center: Ohio
Chapter: Ohio Dominican University
Thomas grew up an hour south of Houston, a short trip from the Gulf of Mexico in Lake Jackson, Texas. Some of his fondest childhood memories include playing Frisbee and football on the beach with his dad amongst the waves. After graduating from Brazoswood High School, this business-minded young man attended Texas State University in San Marcos. There, he studied Finance, enjoyed live music, and most importantly increased his faith, growing the most in his relationship with God throughout his college years.
Going into college, Thomas made the self-commitment to invest in his faith life. God definitely heard that commitment and ran with it, because the first person he met at school was a Mission Leader with Saint Paul’s Outreach. That Mission Leader was a great influence to Thomas and was a large part of why he serves today. Thomas was inspired by his authenticity as a Catholic man, his care for others above himself, and his pursuance of the Lord. He immediately knew that he wanted to be the role model for other men just as this missionary had been a role model for him.
Thomas served as a student missionary and lived in the SPO Household program for three years. For the 2016-2017 school year he will be serving in Columbus, Ohio where he leads a Household of men in mission at Ohio Dominican University. As part of the Ohio chapter, he also helps to lead worship at (The) Ohio State University.
