Title: Program Support
Mission Center: Northeast
Annie grew up in Westmont, IL supported by a loving family. Ever since childhood, Annie saw Jesus as her best friend, but she really fell in love with the Catholic faith during high school through the witness of passionately joyful young Catholics. She first felt the call to become a missionary of Christ through her participation in the Totus Tuus Catechetical Summer Program. When it came time for college, Annie embarked on a journey to Dayton, OH where she majored in Religious Studies at the University of Dayton.
Still feeling the nudge to be a missionary, Annie wondered what adventures the Lord had in store after college. She knew the Lord wanted to surprise her with something great, but she didn’t know what! The Lord soon revealed his plans to her when he simply placed Saint Paul Outreach in her lap – through a random email. When visiting SPO at OSU, Annie felt Christ’s love radiating from each of the Mission Leaders and Student Missionaries. She instantly fell in love with the charism of SPO – community rooted in Christ. It was as if the Mission Leaders were saying, “We love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19). Her desire for this mission continued to grow, and she knew there was nothing left to do but apply!
Annie enjoys the simple pleasures of daily life from eating breakfast to grocery shopping. She also loves to make new friends and spend time with her old friends chatting about life in coffee shops. Her other favorite activities include drawing, cooking dinner, playing games, making puns, drinking coffee, building forts, planting vegetables, and laughing.
Every day, Annie prays the words of her favorite saint, St. Josemaria Escriva, to the Holy Spirit: “I want what you want, I want it because you want it, I want it as you want it, I want it when you want it.” She hopes that you, too, will join her in prayer!
