Why I became an SPO Missionary

When I began college at FSU, I found the Catholic Student Union and met the SPO Missionaries shortly after. They invited me into relationship with them, most frequently in the context of inviting me to their Household. During these many visits, I began to see the depth of community and relationship being built between men and women. I was awestruck and had never seen anything like it, and I was hungry for it. So, I applied to live in an SPO Household for my sophomore year (and then two more years after that), and it was in this context that the Lord slowly invited me to build a personal prayer life, as well as opened my heart to the possibility of full-time mission with SPO. It was through SPO Household that I learned that mission is simply just love of the person in front of me as a direct response to Christ's love in my own life. This newfound wisdom propelled me to give of my life in a special way, through full-time mission with SPO.
