Why I became an SPO Missionary
Before I took responsibility for my faith, I lived a double life in college. Through SPO Missionaries investing in me, I realized at the end of my sophomore year that the lifestyle I was living was unhealthy and ultimately left me longing for more. It was on an SPO retreat before the start of my junior year that I met Jesus and learned of His profound love for me. Throughout the next years, I joined the SPO men’s house at the University of St. Thomas, and for the first time I experienced true brotherhood, being called to something higher, and healing. I want to share what I have received with other men and to invite them into life with Christ.
Favorite Scripture Verse
"He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.’ So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong."
- 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
