Farewell to our National Chaplain
We want to express heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Philip Merdinger, as he retires as SPO’s National Chaplain. One of the great surprises of the Lord, and one of the great joys of our life in evangelistic work on college campuses, has been the opportunity to partner in life and mission with the Brotherhood of Hope, and in particular with Fr. Philip. What an incredible gift and most amazing blessing to have him, not only as our National Chaplain, but as a brother, friend, and mentor to all of us in SPO! Fr. Philip’s leadership in the Brotherhood of Hope, and more recently in SPO, has been an inspiration and blessing beyond measure to the mission. Bringing wisdom in teaching, hope in the sacraments, and joy in his vocational call, he has touched countless lives. Fr. Philip remains an inspiration, modeling for all of us what it is to run the race well to the end. Although we will miss his presence on our team, he will always remain a part of the SPO family. Join us in praying for the Lord’s continued abundant blessings on Fr. Philip as he enters into retirement.
Fr. Philip, you will be missed!
